Impact Tester For Conduit Entry Shoulders For Electrical Lab Training.
Impact Tester For Conduit Entry Shoulders - For Electrical Lab Training
Mechanical strength of conduit entry shoulders of electrical
appliances is determined by holding the entry along with its shoulder in
a horizontal plane, placing a test device of specified shape and
dimensions over the shoulder, and striking the top face of the device by
a 250 g mass falling down vertically from a height of 15 cm. The
shoulder is examined for any signs of its failure after giving ten
impacts by the falling mass.
The Impact Tester for conduit entry shoulders consists
of a horizontal platform on which the cut off portion of the conduit
entry and shoulder can be placed, two numbers testing devices for
testing conduit entries for 16 and 19 mm diameter conduits, a falling
mass which can be dropped from a fixed height onto the top face of the
testing device, a vertical guide bar over which the falling mass drops
during its fall, and an arrangement to hold the falling mass at the
specified height and to release it from there
