Extractor Frame Universal- Engineering Lab Training Systems.
The extractor frame has been designed to extract specimen form almost
every type of sampling tube, mould is general use in soil engineering
laboratory or in the field. This has the advantage that it can be
mounted vertically or horizontaly as desired. Three 1¥2 inch diameter
samples can be collected into three 1 Y2 inch diameter tubes from one 4
inch dia sample .This is a unique feature which ensures the economic use
of the sample in an undisturbed state. It comprises a frame designed
for screw jack operation, one each of the adapters and plunger adapters
for size 1.5 dia 3 inch diameter 4 inch diameter, 6 inch diameter and a
stand to obtain simultaneously three 1.5 inch diameter samples form one 4
inch diameter sample. The thrust plate which slides along the slotted
supports can be clamped at any desired position by means of locking nut.
Besides this, the tube or mould can be held in position by raising the
tube guides and held in position with locking screws. The lead
screw movement can be stopped at any predetermined position
by tightening the lead screw locking collar by means of set screw.
